Our vision at any campus as we organize a new colony is to create an atmosphere of men who not only want to work hard to build a strong chapter of leaders, but who also support each other's individual values by working together to share Sigma Nu's common vision of "Excelling With Honor". We are not interested in merely organizing a social club or otherwise random group of students just to perpetuate the common stereotypes of Greek life. Rather, we want men who can develop themselves as leaders by challenging the rest of their student community while simultaneously building lifelong friendships.
The Greek experience is a wonderful chance to build skills that will help you transition into many life situations after college. Whether or not you have considered joining the Greek community, we encourage you to research our values, history and traditions and not let this opportunity pass you by!
Giving back to the community with various philanthropic events is a high priority at Sigma Nu and we are second to none in the UNL philanthropy department. Our oldest philanthropy is Called Winter Lights where Greek houses compete for the best holiday light display. Another famous campus-wide event is the Husker Bowl; a Sorority Powder puff football game. Our most recent additions to the philanthropic calendar are Cinnubunanza and Nuer Nugget Night, cinnamon roll and Chicken Nugget Feeds respectively.
Philanthropies are a great way to meet new people, compete in events, and raise some money for a worthy cause. Sigma Nu prides itself on it's ability to make giving back to the community fun for all.

The facade of the Sigma Nu house is decorated with thousands of lights to help showcase the Cinnabunanza philantrophy and Winter Lights celebreation.

Nuer Nugget Night is yet another philantrophy that raises money for St. Jude's Hospital by offering all you can eat Wendy's Chicken Nuggets.

Once a year, brothers come together and travel to Minnesota to compete in the Annual "Sigma Nu Border Battle". This is a flag football competition among other neighboring chapters, with all benefits going to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
